Liberty Pest Control Celebrates 30 Years in Business!

From One Truck to Over 15,000 Services a Month — Built on People, Purpose, and Community

New York, NY — [2026] — Liberty Pest Control, one of the most respected and successful pest management companies in the New York metropolitan area, proudly announces its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of growth, service excellence, and commitment to both clients and community.

Founded in 1996 by Richard “Rich” Cappa, Liberty Pest Control began as a one-man operation run directly out of Rich’s vehicle. With a strong work ethic, hands-on service, and a belief in doing business the right way, Liberty steadily grew — one account at a time — into the company it is today, now performing over 15,000 services every month across commercial, institutional, and hospitality sectors.

“When I started Liberty 30 years ago, it was just me, my vehicle, and a belief that if you take care of customers and do honest work, everything else will follow,” said Rich Cappa, Founder and President of Liberty Pest Control. “I never imagined how far we would grow, but I always believed in the people and the culture we were building.”Liberty’s continued success has been shaped by strong leadership and strategic partnerships. The collaboration between Rich Cappa and Joe Temperino marked a pivotal chapter in the company’s evolution — strengthening operations, expanding reach, and reinforcing Liberty’s long-term vision.

“Liberty’s success comes down to culture and accountability,” said Joe Temperino, Partner, Liberty Pest Control. “We built this company by investing in people, staying disciplined, and never losing sight of what made Liberty special from day one.

Liberty Pest Control further supported its ability to scale responsibly while maintaining consistent, high-quality service. These relationships allowed Liberty to expand without sacrificing its core values.

At the heart of Liberty Pest Control is its team. The company credits its success to the dedication of employees across all departments — from service and operations, to field technicians, to billing, administration, and support staff.

“Every service ticket, every client relationship, every successful day comes down to teamwork,” said  Joe Temperino  Our technicians, office staff, and service teams are the backbone of this company. Liberty doesn’t work without them.”

Liberty proudly refers to its employees as the Liberty family, recognizing that sustained success is only possible through trust, opportunity, and shared responsibility.

Over the years, Liberty Pest Control has learned that true success is measured not only by growth, but by impact.  Alex Dallas, Liberty Pest Control has taken a major step forward in modernizing pest management by incorporating artificial intelligence into daily operations.

Alex has led the integration of AI-driven tools that streamline daily tasks, enhance reporting accuracy, optimize routing and service efficiency, and provide technicians with real-time support in the field. These innovations allow technicians to work smarter, respond faster, and deliver a higher level of service while reducing administrative burden.

“Technology should make people better at what they do — not replace them,” said Alex Dallas, Technology & Operations Leader at Liberty Pest Control. “By integrating AI into our daily workflows, we’re giving our technicians better tools, better information, and more time to focus on quality service and customer relationships.”

This forward-thinking approach has elevated Liberty’s operational efficiency while reinforcing its commitment to empowering employees.

The company has made it a priority to give back to the communities it serves — whether by supporting local initiatives, mentoring individuals, or providing career opportunities to those looking for a second chance or a fresh start.

“As we grew, we realized we had a responsibility to do more,” added Cappa. “Giving people an opportunity — whether it’s a job, mentorship, or stability — has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.

Thirty years is a milestone we’re proud of,” said Temperino. “But what truly matters is where we’re going next — continuing to innovate, support our people, and raise the standard for our industry.”

We are truly Blessed.
